Nellai Ortho club was formed in the year January 2001 with 12 orthopaedic surgeons of tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts. Prof. Kanagasabai was the founder president Dr. S. Muthuraman founder secretary .The main aim of this organisation is to develop comraderie among practising orthopaedic surgeons of both districts.exchange of knowledge and experience and representing this regional club to Tamilnadu orthopaedic association. Regular monthly meetings are conducted right from its inception till date on last Saturday of every month.The club has completed 23 years and nearing silver Jubilee celebration. It has grown extensively and the membership has increased more than 100. We have conducted various CME and academic programs.

Being privileged to be part of this dynamic club since November 2003, we do welcome you with immence pleasure to our website initiated by our beloved Dr. Muthuraman and guided by our seniors. It’s a first of its kind in district clubs of Tamilnadu. We do hope to propagate knowledge and bring about a change in perception on modern medicine.
Our Nellai Ortho Club is unique in many ways the we do bond and celebrate life that goes beyond Orthopaedics. On academic side, we have conducted regular monthly meets on the last Saturday of every month without fail except during the Covid.
